Born on the South Shore of Boston, Matt grew up in an active boating family. His passion for boating and the boating industry started at a young age. Upon graduation from University of Maine, Matt started working for a Marine Distributor in Maine. Through a 14 year career, Matt took on several challenges within the company. Managing their largest marine store, Matt worked to find solutions and collaborate with industry members and to make the business more successful. Working as a distributor salesman, Matt worked directly with some of the premier boatbuilders and boatyards in Maine.
This direct exposure laid the foundation for what makes Matt an effective communicator and problem solver of today’s current trade trends and practices. Working across the trade with OEM’s, such as Sabre, Back Cove, Eastern, Southport & Hinckley, insures Matt is acquainted with and utilizes best practices. Partnering with Distributors, Dealers and Manufacturers has given Matt the unique skills and tools to work within the needs of each, while understanding what contributes to growth in each market arena.
